Dr. Michele Leatherbury

Dr Leatherbury graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree and received her Veterinary Degree in 1997 from Atlantic Veterinary College in Canada.

Her professional interests include soft tissue surgery, behavioral medicine, endocrinology and dentistry.  She is a member of the American Animal Hospital Association, the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Virginia Veterinary Medical Association,  the American Association of Feline Practitioners, the Humane Society Veterinary Medical Association, and the American Veterinary Society of Animal Behavior.

She and her husband, Rob reside outside of Onancock.  They have a dachshund named Wally, and a black lab named Moby.  Dr. Leatherbury and Wally are keen competitors in the sport of Canine Scentwork.  Wally is one of the tiniest dogs in the country to achieve Nosework 3 "Elite" status.  And Moby is following in his little, big brother's steps!

Dr. L.A. "Jack" Hiler

Dr. Jack completed his undergraduate work at Virginia Tech and graduated from the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine in Blacksburg in 1989.  He has a special interest in orthopedics, including fracture repair and joint disorders, but also enjoys all aspects of medicine and surgery.  He is also Penn Hip certified to evaluate dogs for hip dysplasia.

Dr. Jack has lived on the shore since 1990 with his wife, Suzanne, and children Daniel and Caroline.  His family also includes a Yorkie mix, named Brandy, and two cats, Hermione and Little Cat.

When he's not working, Dr. Hiler enjoys hiking, gardening, fishing, reading, and traveling with his family.

 

Joy Zuchel, L.V.T.

Joy Zuchel is a native of the Eastern Shore. She studied Veterinary Technology at Blue Ridge Community College and has a professional interest in anesthesia and analgesia.

Along with her husband and two children, they maintain a Boer goat herd and enjoy showing with the American Boer Goat Association. Joy enjoys trail riding with her horse, Roscoe.

Her family also includes fur babies: Hank (Blue Tick Coonhound), Joe (Chihuahua), Mako (Domestic Shorthair), and Henri (Ferret).

Jessica Anne Daley

Jessica graduated from Virginia Tech in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal and Poultry Sciences.  She began working at Atlantic Animal Hospital in 2011.

Jessica and her husband, Christopher, reside nearby in Onancock.  They have two dogs, Honey-Monkey and Butter, both of which are mixed breeds.  They also have Jim the cat, and Zell the leopard gecko.

Outside of work, Jessica loves to read science fiction and play World of Warcraft.
